Giovanni Zen believes that establishing The Whistler Institute as a new centre for learning and dialogue is his most important legacy. It will give new life to reconciliation efforts, and support positive relations between First Nations and non-First Nations people.
Mr. Zen started his career in BC putting new roofs on hundreds of homes located on the Squamish and Lil’wat First Nation reserves, and on several other reserves in the Chiliwack and Hope area. His business had its earliest days in First Nations communities. The Whistler Institute is Mr. Zen’s way of giving back to First Nations and the province he loves, where he and his family built a successful development and property management business.
